“ I decided to stop in today (Friday) for lunch while my tires were being rotated. It is hit and miss with the crowds here, but today was quiet, so I was able to do some work over lunch. The chicken salad croissant was my first there and delicious... I prefer less creamy and more currants (cranberry), but overall, it hit the spot. The owner, Doru, is the chef and very talented. Their coffee is always good, and I'm picky about my coffee. Today, I had the most cherry, pleasant, and gracious server. However, one thing about Black and White, their staff is always friendly! If you're a child of the 80s, you will love the music here I've been coming here since this cafe opened about 8 years ago even though I had long moved out of this neighborhood. If they had gluten-free food options, I would send my GF local patients here. I keep crossing my fingers each time I walk in. But I never walk out without a coffee in my hand. If you are planning a visit here, I suggest a call ahead. This is a small family business, and they need a break, too. I have driven by a few times over the years to find it closed during normal business hours. But it will always remain my favorite old neighborhood coffee stop when im not traveling abroad. ”
“ The service here is amazing! Food was even better. Highly recommend for a nice local cafe ”
“ I met up with some friends at this cafe and it was perfect for us. We went on a Friday morning at 9 and the inside seating was full, but it was a beautiful day and we sat at one of the outside tables and really enjoyed it. Because they were so busy when we arrived, the service was just a bit slow, but we weren’t in a hurry. Two of us ordered the Phoenix omelet with a side of bacon, and one ordered the American breakfast. The portions were hardy and tasty. Their potatoes are soooo good. And the bacon is thick cut and plentiful. There is a nice choice of toast options, we ordered sourdough and ciabatta between us and were not disappointed. Love the inclusion of the fresh fruit cup on the plate. We will definitely return to Black and White Cafe! ”
“ *** Update *** please know that during the weekends you should call and ask about making a reservation. This is not stated on their website or social media :( and we found out the hard way after trying to come here a second time during the weekend :/ we were informed that breakfast meals are limited during the weekend and it is first come first served The food was amazing!! I had their waffles which was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend it! The plating of their food was great, highly appreciated it and you can tell the ingredients they used were fresh! My mom had the breakfast club sandwich which was also amazing and the potatoes that came with it, oh my! Their potatoes were *muah* delicious!! The amount of food you get is also worth what you spend. :) Coffee was great, service was great and quick!!The cafe is a bit small but I have to say that I appreciated the fact that it didn’t feel overly packed inside. There is seating outside as well. We came on a Sunday around 11 am and we got lucky, it wasn’t as packed inside as it has been for other people. I will definitely be back again!! ”
“ Sat down right away. Iced coffee was yummy. Food was really good! Loved the pancakes! It was a little pricey, but I’d go back again! ”

I had a mocca latte with coconut milk. A Wonderful little spot. ”
